Sounds by Living Room IDs
Centerpiece Sounds is a sonic exploration of our current moods and musings.
This volume is selected by Living Room IDs, a music project by Montreal-based DJ, producer, and curator Laurence Matte, whose selections move with the same ease and intention found in her work. Known for crafting immersive journeys through ’90s breaks, mental electro, progressive house, and trance, she’s long shaped Canada’s electronic underground with a style defined by depth, taste, and a restless curiosity. Her sets in Montreal, New York, and Brussels, along with appearances on Kiosk Radio, speak to an artist who treats sound as a place to wander.

This first volume also marks the launch of the new DJ Booth, designed by Smallmediumlarge for Living Room IDs. A sculptural workstation built for vinyl mixing, it integrates gear and storage with the clarity of a well-considered piece of furniture. Every face is meant to be seen, allowing the booth to move between public venues and living spaces. It stands confidently as an object in its own right.
