Murano Glass Latticino Bowl in the Style of Venini
Description
A Murano glass bowl in mint green and white, its body worked in canes that swirl up from the base to a ruffled, folded rim.
Fine white threads, laid in a lace-like latticino pattern, run between bands of mint green, a caning technique closely associated with Venini and practised across Murano's workshops in the 1950s.
Made in Italy in the 1950s, it can hold fruit on a table or stand empty on a shelf as a sculptural piece.
