Compact Sofa by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller, 1954. Built on a slim chrome frame with a folding back, it was conceived as a sofa that could move through a doorway and adapt to smaller rooms without losing presence. This piece has recently been reupholstered in a cyan colored velvet fabric.
