FeS₂ Coffee Table by Edith Sevigny-Martel
Description
FeS₂ (Iron Disulfide) Coffee Table by Edith Sevigny-Martel, made in Montreal, 2026. A monolithic cube built entirely from handmade ceramic tiles, finished top to bottom in a gold-flecked tenmoku glaze that shifts from a fine, glinting surface on top to a deep, sculptural pooling across the sides. The form echoes pyrite itself, which crystallizes naturally into cubes and is often found close to real gold. Equal parts sculpture and function, it works as a side table, plinth, or low seat.
